Biographie - The troubadour
Born from a French father and a Swiss mother, I grew up in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, where my abode is still located when I am back from my tours...
A small music room has become my residence and my recording studio. There I can immortalize my musical creations and record my albums (8 albums so far, the last one still being sold). My tours allow me to make a living from my music - this from the year 2000... I feel very lucky in this way. Are my tours organized by a manager? Nope, I am the only master on board to pilot those tours and I really appreciate this freedom. When I left for the first time during the year 2000, with my bike, my guitare and my CDs, I did not expect that this yould become my job. Very quickly my CDs encountered success (more than 5000 CDs sold in a few years), without any other distributor than myself. I am basically a street musician, even though I seldom play in the streets except to entertain terraces. I mainly play in pubs and restaurants asking for permission and without engagement, I spontaneously play before the public, often by full improvisation… Then the public can put money in my hat or buy my CDs and that is the money I earn. Then I don't use songs from my repertoire of composed songs, the public can listen to a live composition session without knowing it.. This makes my job even harder because then my shows can as well fail or succeed... Everything depends on my inspiration of the day. I play most of my pieces in front of the public and I compose new pieces every week. Everything is improvisation at first, then when there is an idea I really like, I use it, I refine it in studio with all my instruments alone and without any other musician. When I play spontaneously in public areas like restaurants, pubs and others I can be asked for other contracts for all kinds of special events like weddings, inaugurations, birthdays, diplomas ceremonies, etc.
